As always, i am deeply in awe by the way you describe how you feel, it‘s bringing the tears into my eyes and letting me smile at the same time. This time, i‘ve especially been touched of how Frida and you came to finally breath with each other, this is so beautiful! Thank you for another inspiring time of reading. 🫶🏽 All my heartiest wishes to you and your cute little fawn,…

Balancing things in a day is very difficult with babies at the same time each small chore has same value as the rest.

Absolutely loved this week’s post. By the age of twenty-five I had three children and a rocky marriage which finally ended when I was forty. It was then that I began to learn about who I was, having no idea during the previous years. At fifty-six I graduated summa cum laude, third in my class, from Bloomfield College, where I worked, and subsequently became Director of Alumni Affairs. I had met and eventually married my soul mate, with whom I shared interests and talents. We’ve been together thirty-six years!

My point here is this... I never gave up trying to have a balanced and fulfilling life. I embraced my gifts, one of which was creating art, which I love. It sounds like you have a mate who supports you and assists you when you need an extra hand. I have good vibes re your life, choices, and family. I love your wisdom, both in your writing and your art which illustrates your thoughts and actions.

I salute you for creating a life that feeds all of YOUR needs, as well as the precious family you’ve created.

I feel a bit like I’m rambling, but I hope you’ve gleaned a bit of what I’m hoping to have conveyed.

Best wishes,

Lois

Thanks for sharing, Lois, and for always reading and supporting my work. We're always trying to balance and support each other...with the knowledge that all of it requires compromise and that you can rarely have everything all at once. <3

I have a 9 mo old, but your reflections on life with a 6 week old took me back to a time I was just in, and I think you captured the tension so well. My babies all ended up with CMPA and reflux, and so they all cried a lot until 6 months. :) Then they awoke to joy. 💕

Thanks for your thoughts!

I love the idea of your babies one day all awaking to joy. Thanks for sharing, Laura -- it helps to remember how temporary all of this is.
